# 3. Lore & World Chronicle (Chronicon Eldoria)

Before greed spread across the land, Eldoria was a continent bound by city-states and guilds, devoted to balance between the forge and nature.\
Forging was not meant for war, but for remembrance. The Eternal Sword symbolized a covenant — strength bound by restraint, unity under law and faith.\
But when ambition corrupted the throne, the sacred sword was seized upon the royal altar and shattered into ten soul fragments. Each fell to earth, twisting the ley lines and corrupting both beasts and rulers alike. The order of chroniclers burned with its archives, and history dissolved into smoke.

The following age was known as The Greed-Tide. Gold replaced courage; faith gave way to possession. City-states hoarded arms and grain, mistaking accumulation for order. The name of the sword faded from memory, yet its resonance lingered — faint, like the heartbeat of a buried god. When the fragments’ pulse grew strong enough, the world called for balance once more.\
From the ruins arose Arthur — not a single man, but a role summoned by memory itself. Each awakening takes up the red cloak and the wanderer’s blade, setting forth to gather the broken shards and restore the light.

In his journey, the fallen guardians — once noble, now consumed by greed — release their Soulbound Echoes upon defeat: relics of memory that cannot yet belong to anyone, for they still remember their former masters. Only through the Alchemy Forge can these remnants be purified into new, rightful weapons. Thus, Eldoria’s law was rewritten: defeat the past, purify the present, forge the future.

When the old order of scribes collapsed, a new form of recordkeeping emerged.\
Arthur and the adventurers began to inscribe their battles, failures, forges, and trades into a ledger that could not burn — the On-chain Chronicle.\
Where historians once wrote in ink, the new world writes in code. Each quest, each triumph, each death becomes a line in the eternal record of courage.\
The ten fragments still lie scattered, greed and shadow still thrive, but whenever a red cloak appears in the mist, the song of the sword rises again — reminding all that the Chronicle of Eldoria is still being written.
